I'm sure if you're reading this you have some understanding about the infamous Montreal screw-job. The 1997 Survior Series p;layed host to the one of the most real angles in professional wrestling history, when the then WWF champion Bret Hart was screwed out of the gold by the referee, a chairman & Shawn Micheals.
Now back then Bret was my favourite & to this day I think the greatest wrestler of all time, I was a barely in my teens when this took place & didn't understand the true nature until many years later
Vince was worried that Bret would take the gold to then major rivals WCW, and dump it live on air - Former Womens Champions Alunda Blaze famously did this, shattering the WWF's womens division for many years.
So brings me on the Monday 4th Jan 2010 Bret the Hitman Hart returns to WWE after a 12 year absence.
First off, hopefully my readers will agree, it was awesome to the Hitman back in a wrestling ring, me in the UK didn't have Bravo so never saw him on WCW & I hardly think seeing him in the opening sequence of Malcolm in the Middle counts.
I may discuss the whole episode of RAW in this atricle, but was I the only one who thought that Bret just didn't look right, its no secret that he did have a stroke a few years back but when he was in the the ring with Vince, when they had their arms raised Bret's eyes just looked messed to me. He was either waiting for someone to show from the back or he was confused in some way. I don't wanna speculate but I'd say WWE be very careful with Bret as I saw him as a vunerable individual. Hopefully with some of the old school crew watching his back as well as Natalya & David Hart he should be fine.
Now...finally onto RAW
Bret & Shawn in the ring together at last, goosebumps people, I've genuinly not been so excited about a RAW show in years. The show got off with a bang, Bret & Shawn in the ring together after 12 years, man I feel old. Despite Shawn having to be HHH wing man in DX, when he's alone the fellow can put together a kickass promo and that sketch with Bret, Ladies & Gentleman was kickass. I knew nothing physical would happen & there would be a handshake & I'm sure it had all been resolved in the back the drama for the fans (I refuse to be categorised under a stupid WWE Universe stigma - different rant, different day) was exceptional. Kudos to the guys for pulling that off.
Aside from that not much else happened...yeah right...the DX sketch with the new Mattel toys...meh cheap plug - Mattel have taken over from Jakks to make the new range of WWE toys, I've seen pics they look all the same to be honest, give me the current Classic Series & some Hasbro & I'll be more than happy.
Shame about Melina & the injury, they Diva's division could do with a a serious feud because at the moment TNA Knockouts are kicking their asses...lets watch the build-up to this tournament, seems long if you ask me.
FUnny moment of the of the show, gotta be Jericho doing the hand to the ear, just has Hogan does, had me in stiches. I see Jericho as one of the best pure workers WWE have he's got the experience & mike skills & can really work the crowd - I saw him live at the o2 a few months back, poor fellow got pounded by DX glow sticks.
We knew the Bret/Vince angle would have more to it, the kick...predictable, would have been class if Bret got the first shot in though...I see a Wrestlemania clash between the two coming up, but we shall see.
Comments always welcome

About the site & me
So here goes,
I've been quietly watching Wrestling for the best part of 17 years, I've seen it all from the very first Monday Night RAW through to the start of TNA & this weeks Raw appearance of Bret Hart & TNA's Hogan.
What I aim to do hear is use my blog as an outlet to vert any frustrations, observations and comments about the Wrestling industry & the various facets of it. I am by no means an expert & all the views expressed will be my own
Basically feel free to comment & add this to your list - I aim to update about once a week to peace out ppl
